La Liga hires lawyer Juan Branco to plead its case against PSG

La Liga, the Spanish first division football league, is on the offensive. The organization chaired by Javier Tebas has announced that it has lodged a complaint with UEFA against PSG and Manchester City for non-compliance with the rules of financial fair play. And to further increase the pressure, she also announced that she had hired lawyers in France and Switzerland to bring localized legal actions. And it is the Franco-Spanish lawyer Juan Branco, 32, who will defend the Spanish interests in this procedure.

Actions before the French and European authorities

La Liga asked him “to take administrative and legal action before the competent French authorities and the European Union as soon as possible”, according to a press release. The media lawyer is not unknown to the world of Iberian football since he had already intervened last summer on behalf of the socios of FC Barcelona, the owners of the club, to prevent the arrival of striker Lionel Messi at PSG. He already invoked at the time a failure to respect the financial constraints imposed by UEFA.
