Sète: the third season of La Poulperie started full

In rue Alsace-Lorraine, in the pedestrianized town centre, a unique restaurant offers an atypical experience: octopus is available in its most diverse forms.

At La Poulperie, we know what to expect. Well almost ! Octopus is eaten here in various variations. Some surprising, like the burger offered in the first season. This year, deviled eggs with octopus stole the show from acras. “We cook what we like to eat. It’s quite marked, local and refined” explain Vincent and his wife.

The flagship dish remains the grilled octopus, in this restaurant-terrace which can accommodate up to 30 people. Each service sees customers being refused, for lack of space. In fact, reservations are highly recommended. The kitchen works in the same way: the only fridge on wheels is stocked twice a day with local products.

Third season

If since mid-April, the two brothers Vincent Stento and Paul Imparato have opened their terrace for the third season, they are not the only ones to have worked for the success of the recipe of the family restaurant. From the storefront, we find the expert paw of Tony Bosc, around the collage that forms the counter. A watercolor of the Saint-Clair lighthouse adorns a wall, surrounded by posters in local tones.

Thursday to Tuesday (closed on Wednesday), from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Plates from €13 to €24.
