Founded in 2018, The Lock is a pop-up restaurant located on the northern tip of the island of Ramier, with a breathtaking view of the Pont-Neuf but also of the Garonne. A special place and very well located for your summer evenings.

With its charcoal oven

For the second consecutive year, the Sapiens group (which already works in Montaudran, next to the Canaille Club) is in charge. In partnership with Ivo Danafthe president of the union of Umih 31, two co-managers, Erwin Boodhun and Edouard Cassado, have concocted a very Mediterranean and Spanish 2022 season. “Our strong point is the charcoal oven, the tapas to share, the Iberian charcuterie… These are only quality products,” explains Erwin Boodhun.

The Abanico, the shrimp carpaccio…

The capacity of L’Ecluse rises to 200 seats and the place will offer house specialties such as the Abanico, an Iberian pig raised in Huelva, southern Spain. “It’s a less fatty meat cooked at low temperature and seared over embers”, explains the co-manager.

Other dishes expected: braised Camargue rice in casserole dishes with shrimp and chicken, as well as blue shrimp carpaccio accompanied by a passion sauce. As for drinks, the menu is accompanied by local wines and cocktails.

Price level, count from 6 to 14 euros for tapasand from 20 to 95 euros (this is the Galician blonde matured for 60 days) for the dishes.

Book quickly for the fireworks!

This summer, the Ecluse, in addition to its advantageous point of view on the beauties of Toulouse, presents two considerable assets.

“With the Garonne, it is often 5°C cooler on the terrace compared to the city center. And we advise people to book for the July 14 fireworks, which will be fired before our eyes during the evening”.
