Unchain The Law: Follow the final which will decide the best crypto-lawyer!

5 Crypto Law Gladiators – ORWL Avocats announced in January 2022 the organization of the Unchain The Law competition, to highlight cryptocurrencies through verbal contests. The event targets law students. The first edition, organized with Sorare and The Sandbox, focuses on the theme of NFTs. The competition is now entering its final phase.

NFT in dress: second round for cryptophile lawyers

The competition Unchain The Law on the legal and tax issues of cryptoassets, the 2022 edition of which focuses on NFTs, will be held on April 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Espace Cléry (17, rue de Cléry, II°). The five finalists in the written phase will be judged by their eloquence in front of a jury made up of the best experts in the industry. The subject will be a provocative question: “NFT/JPG, what’s the difference?” “.
The award ceremony will be followed by a cocktail to allow all the participants to discuss.

  • 6:30 p.m.: introductory speech by MP Pierre Person
  • 7:00 p.m.: beginning of the pleadings
  • 8:00 p.m.: jury deliberation (Sorare/Sandbox/ORWL)
  • 8:15 p.m.: award ceremony
  • 8:30 p.m.: cocktail

The winner of Unchain The Law will win €3,000, and will also receive an internship proposal from ORLW Avocats. The 5 participants in the second round will receive prizes offered by the sponsors of the competition, including Sorare and The Sandbox, as well as the student association Assas Legal Innovation.

NFTs pose new legal issues, some of which are common to the entire cryptosphere, and others which are more specific to it. The development of the metaverse and the growth of NFTs are creating new markets for brands to conquer, and new legal territory for the legal world to map.
